Located in Itabashi ward, the closest train station to the house is Itabashi Honcho station on the Toei Mita Line. When I first visited the area, I found that the best part about this share house is its proximity to the station and the closest grocery store.

SCENARIO 1    THE USUAL

I had the scenario mapped out in my mind that, after getting off the train, I could go to the Aeon grocery store 30 seconds by the station exit, grab some groceries, then walk 2 more minutes home to cook dinner. That would be a normal day.

SCENARIO 2   FEELING SPECIAL

If I’m feeling special, I could get off the train, get myself a tempura bowl at the Ebiten joint 10 seconds by the station exit for dinner, head to the 7-11 next door to withdraw some cash from the international ATM, and then spend all that money at the local wine bar sipping some alcoholic grape juice while chatting with locals. After all that, I’d head home, which is a 30 second walk away.

Aside from the scenarios above, the actual time it takes from the station to the share house is…
